Edexcel IAL Geography Resources for Going Global

The Going Global resources cover Unit 1: Global Challenges – Topic 2: Going Global. This topic explores globalisation as a complex process with multiple causes and contested consequences, and the resources are structured around the specification’s six enquiry questions:

  • Why are global economic connections increasing?
  • Which organisations are involved in globalisation?
  • How far does globalisation produce winners and losers?
  • What are the impacts of global and regional population trends?
  • Why are numbers of internal and international migrants rising?
  • What are the consequences of an increasingly urban world?

Each enquiry question is supported by teaching materials, activities and case studies that help students build the knowledge, understanding and exam skills they need for the Unit 1 Global Challenges examination.
